Valerien a "10". He was most professional and had the most knowledge of any realtor we ever worked with. He made a very difficult move so easy. We were blessed to have him.
During the time we have got to know Mark pretty well and we are happy our paths have crossed. We met Mark while we were looking for another home to purchase and to sell our existing home. We informed Mark of what we were looking for in a home and he proceeded to show us homes over a period of at least 7-8 months. I do not know how many homes he showed us, but it was a substantial amount, and he never complained about the time he was investing to find a home for us. Every home that we looked at Mark showed his knowledge of knowing about home building to point out any potential problems we might encounter if we purchased that home. Now you have to realize that all the time he was spending with us and other clients he was working a night shift for The Ponce Inlet Police Dept. There were times when we would meet and we could tell he was sleep deprived but he still acted in a professional manner and spent all the time needed to look at properties. When finally we found a home that we loved Mark took care of everything at the closing because we are snowbirds and had left for up north before the closing. He then found a buyer for our existing home (spent many hours showing) and after the buyer pointed out some deficiencies that needed to be done before the sale, Marked helped us correct them, by personally painting, repairing wood that was rotted, and finding reliable contractors to do any other work that needed to be done to sell our home. We've never met a realtor that would go so far as Mark to help their customers. He went far beyond the reasonable help of most realtors when he helped us move our furniture from our old home to our new home. We can sum up what we are saying by stating Mark is not only a outstanding realtor but he is also a wonderfull human being and we are happy to have found him and consider him a true friend. Mark has assisted me with both selling and purchasing a home. Both experiences were outstanding! With a few simple recommendations/improvements, he sold my house for $12,000 over market value. While purchasing a home, he treated us like family. He listened to our wish list and focused on homes that were appropriate for our situation. My kids loved working with Mark because he valued their needs as well. He truly cares about his clients and takes his time to find the best fit. I appreciated his availability and patience through the process. After moving into the house, he assisted me with several projects to insure I was able to make it into the perfect home. I was beyond grateful for the extra set of hands but also his knowledge about how to build/fix things around the house. This saved me several more thousands of dollars! Purchasing a home is one of the most stressful situations and Marks professionalism and ability to communicate clear and concise made it a pleasurable experience.
Mark was holding an open house at the marina we had stopped for a few days. Mark asked a lot of good questions during our initial contact with him and understood the boating requirements we needed to accommodate our boat. After returning to California Mark stayed in touch with us and continued to learn more about what we wanted in a Florida Home. When we returned to Florida Mark had planned to show us several homes and condos by land and by boat which we found to be very informative. It made a big difference for us to see these properties by land and by water. After having looked at many properties Mark was insistent that we look at Harbour Village in Ponce Inlet. He felt it was one of, if not the best locations to moor our boat with easy access to the ocean and and the Town of-Ponce Inlet was a great place to live. He took us to Harbour Village and we almost immediately knew that he was right. We made an offer on a condo in Harbour Village and a separate dock to moor the boat. Mark drove to Melbourne to get all our documents signed and kept us informed through the entire process. Mark and his wife Margo have become good friends. He always looks after our place when we are gone. We would both highly recommend Mark for any of your Real Estate needs.
Lucie to North Florida. We began our search focusing on Ponce Inlet, Port Orange, and New Smyrna Beach. It was during this internet search we met Mark Valerien from REMAX. This was our good fortune. Within the week we traveled to meet Mark and explore home possibilities. Within a few hours Mark showed us wonderful communities that fit all our needs and we found the house of our dreams ~ needless to say, Mark was amazing. As this area was new to us, Mark educated us and handled all introductions and the business-end for us (not only the closing). Mark also assisted us with finding special contractors and personally helped us during a bad hurricane. We feel very blessed that we not only found an amazing realtor, but a great friend.
It still amazes us that we are living in such a wonderful place. Outing this discussion your name came up several times, as it always does, when we talk to each other or to anyone else about how we happened to find our new home. If not for your guidance we would not have known that Ponce Inlet existed. We decided that since we are always talking about you, it is time to talk to you and tell you how much your patience, friendliness, knowledge, ability to listen and to "read our minds" has meant to us. You are the reason we live in a home that we love and our family loves. Please accept our most sincere thanks for all you have done to make the move to Florida and to Ponce Inlet such an easy transition. You negotiated what we believe was a very fair price for our home, you assured our home was inspected and that we knew exactly what we were getting prior to the purchase, you arranged for and oversaw the painting of our home and you cleaned our carpets. I don't think we could possibly have asked for more. Thank you Mark. Thank you also for taking the time to check on us from time to time. Your thoughtfulness gives us the comfort of knowing that a friend with a helping hand is nearby.
